Advanced Display Controls: Select Multiple locations
Select Multiple Locations enable users to perform analyses on a selection of locations within a network. The possible functions include:
Add Tags to Selected Locations
Delete Selected Locations
Create a Site Profiling Report
Select Multiple locations has a limit of 10 available locations to perform the above functions, if users require to add Tags to more than 10 locations, please see “Add Tags from List” under “Edit your Network”.
Select Multiple Locations - Step by Step
To set up multiple locations:
Select network for analysis, within the Display Control panel, check on “Select Multiple Locations”.
Select up to 10 locations in a network by clicking on their icon on the map. If users have more than 10 locations after performing their actions, simply repeat this process in a separate run.
Once a group of locations has been selected, click on “View Selected Locations” underneath “Select Multiple Locations”.
Optional Actions on Multiple Locations
After gathering the list of locations users can perform a range of actions:
Add Tags to the selected locations - Click “Add Tags To Selected Locations”, fill in the name of this new Tag and hit “Add Tag”. If there are over 10 locations to add tags onto, it is recommended to use “Add Tags From List” read more here.
Delete locations - Delete all locations that have been selected. This action can not be undone.
Create a Site Profile Report - An effective method of analysing multiple locations at once. After selecting the multiple locations, go to “Create Reports” in the Network Menu screen, and then “Site Profile Report”. For more about Site Profile Reports click here.
Dot Density - For weighted networks only. By each location selected, visualise the density of their respective Census Area weights. For example, if a location had sales recorded in a surrounding area, the Dot Density would enable a visual representation of where sales were concentrated. Read more here
Cosmetic options - For the select sites alone you can centre the map, display labels only and display boundaries only.
