Getting Started: Customising your Display

Explorer offers many features to stylise and customise the display of Networks, this can be useful for highlighting differences and otherwise make for more compelling narratives.


Overall Settings

Modify the default display settings for all Networks within the account:

  1. Select user’s name in the top right hand bar menu

  2. Select “View My Settings

  3. Fill in the “My Settings” pop up:

    • Default Country - Change the default country map mode that the explorer loads when logging in.

    • Default Saved View - Save a specific view that will be displayed when logging in. (For example Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide, etc.) These saved views need to be created first, read more here.

    • Trade Area Colour - Modify the default colour schema for all location trade areas.

    • Border Thickness - Choose Trade Area border thickness out of “Thin”, “Medium” or “Thick”.

    • Open Reports as Weighted - Set the default option for reports to “Weighted”, this can only be applied to a Weighted Network, read more here.

  4. Check on “Save My Settings

  5. Close out of the Window.


Individual Network Settings

Individual Network settings allow for more detailed Icon and Trade Area adjustment. It is recommended before performing these changes users familiarise themselves with how networks function and their use, read more here
